Academic Highlights: Overview- Attend this session if you want an overview of all the majors currently being offered at CSU Channel Islands (CI).
Academic Highlights: Academic Advisement- Advising services will be introduced along with an explanation of how our advising model helps students progress towards a timely graduation.
Academic Highlights: Academic Programs- Join representatives from our academic programs as they provide information about what's new, unique, and exciting about their respective majors.
Academic Highlights- International Programs/Study Abroad- Students who want to study abroad will be interested in this introdcution to the programs CI offers.
First Time Freshmen: I've been admitted for Fall 2010, What's Next?- What is a conditional admission? How do I sign up for classes? What happens at Orientation? When do I submit final transcripts? What happens if I fair or drop a class this semester? Find out the answers to these questions and more in this interactive session?
Transfer Students: I've been admitted for Fall 2010, What's Next?- Take the guess-work our of the admission and enrollment processes by attending this session. What is a conditional admission? When do I receive academic advisement? When can I register for classes? We will answer these questions and more.
Living on Campus: Advantages, Details, & Information- Come be a part of the CI neighborhood this fall by living on campus! This season will provide an overview of how to obtain housing, the advantages of living on campus, and what to expect once you move in. You'll also learn details regarding cost, payment deadlines, and the programs that are available to resident students.
Financial Aid & Scholarships: The Process at CI- This question and answer session will provide information about how to understand the financial aid award letter and explore opportunities for work-study available on campus.

University Marketplace- The University Marketplace provides opportunities for students and their families to visit with student leaders, interact with members of clubs and organizations, learn about available services as well as review academic programs with faculty and students. This is also an opportunity to submit Intent to Enroll forms and housing applications, and pay deposits and/or fees.

Q: What is Discover CI?
A: Discover CI is an opportunity for students to get acquainted with the Channel Islands campus. Students have an opportunity to meet with University administrators, faculty and staff who will be a part of their experience at CSUCI. Participants will also have an opportunity to attend a variety of workshops ranging from financial aid, housing, student life, and taking a campus tour.
Q: Is this like an open house where I can come and go at any time?
A: No. This day is more structured and you will get more out of the event if you come for the opening message and stay through the available workshops.
Q: Do I have to be admitted to attend Discover CI?
A: No, but you do need to be an applicant for Fall 2010.
Q: If I am unsure of whether or not to attend CSU Channel Islands, should I still attend?
A: Definitely. Discover CI is an opportunity for you to meet other students and to decide if CSU Channel Islands is the campus for you.
Q: Can I turn in my Intent to Enroll form at Discover CI?
A: Yes, you may turn in your Intent to Enroll form at the University Cashier’s table. Only checks and money orders are accepted.
Q: If I can’t attend this event is there another time I can visit CSUCI?
A: Yes! CSU Channel Islands is always open for people to visit. Campus tours are offered Monday through Friday at 11:00 a.m. as well as the first Saturday of every month at 12:00 p.m. Tours leave from the Recruitment office in the sage Hall, Room 1044.
